  The picture is clear enough for me to see how my son is doing in the back seat, to see if he is asleep or looking around, sad or angry, bored or trying to chew on something, smiling or not. I can see him in the dark, though things are a bit more grainy (darker = more grainy). The wires were plenty long enough to route through a Ford Fusion (had probably 4 ft of wire to spare). It’s definitely worth the money and much better of a view than those mirrors. It also holds more sturdily than the mirrors do – I have not had to adjust it since installing it about 7 weeks ago. Also, there is a small adjustable screw that allows you to adjust the camera angle, so you can point it at exactly where you want to see – I have not had to tighten this since installation as well.
  * My only complaint is mounting it. The rubber pad it comes with didn’t work on the dash of my Ford Fusion. Then, I tried velcro. That worked for a while, but it stopped working in the heat/sunlight. Next, I’m going to try “3M 4905/CLR055 Scotch 4905 VHB Tape: 1/2″ x 15 ft, Clear”.
